QUINTE MINI CON PAST ART CONTEST SUBMISSIONS
Yes, every year of QMC we ran an art contest for anyone and everyone to enter, especially those that were hoping to snag their artist booth for free. Year one we had only one winner, and that was for designing our amazing mascot, who we all lovingly admire and was created by professional artist Karley Pyke.
In the following years we had two winners, the first place would receive a free table and their winning art would be featured on the front cover of the program book. Second place would have a 50% discount on their table, and their art would be reproduced on the passes for the convention.
For years 2014-2017 we had themes for the art contest. 2014's was a Fantasy theme, where you needed to put Quinn in a fantasy setting. 2015 & 2016 were very free for interpretation so we had a variety of different images showing Quinn doing different things. As we wanted to make our fifth, and final, year more special, 2017's theme was Quinn's birthday!
We are very proud of all of the artists that entered over the years, and an additional congratulations to all of the winners. You are all amazing and we are so grateful that you took the time to draw Quinn and submit her to our humble art contest. Below you can find the subsequent art contest entries, first is all of the winners, and then the second 'gallery' is all of the other entries, in order of year. Each image has been duely credited with their respective artist.
Quinn According to Her Creator Karley Tufo:
"Quinn is just your average nerd girl who loves just about anything to do with the nerd world, BUT she also loves sailing! Having a con in her home town means she can express her love for then and her town!"
