QMC Masquerade
Our masquerade provides cosplayers with an opportunity to show their work in a slightly bigger way than just wandering through the convention. As a mini con, our masquerade is a welcome haven to newcomers to the masquerade circuit, and will be to a smaller crowd than those of larger conventions.
Masquerade will start at 5pm. Masquerade registration will open at 10am on Saturday at the Masquerade Table. You will have until NOON to sign up! Green room check-in time is 3pm. All other information will be on site. |
Actual stage TBD. This information will be released closer to the convention.
Winners will be announced during the Award Ceremony to be held at 12 NOON on Sunday.
TIME LIMITS
You will have up to 2 minutes to either perform a skit or do a walk-on. Groups of more than 3 may have up to 3 minutes. This does not mean that you have to use the entire time limit, you can be on for however long you wish as long as you don't exceed the time limit. Entries that go beyond this time limit will be disqualified.
WORKMANSHIP
Workmanship judging is being offered at QMC. This will be a good chance for anyone who wishes to have the technical aspects and quality of their costume judged. If you wish to have workmanship judging, please indicate it on your entry form. If you have made parts of your costume, you will automatically be judged on workmanship, unless you enter the skit division.
INTRODUCTIONS, SOUND/MUSIC
If you would like an introduction to be read for your skit, please print clearly on your entry form. Please let know the MC (Master of Ceremonies) if you need to involve them in any way. We don't want to have our MC caught off-guard. If you don't provide an introduction, the MC will simply read the entry number & title of your entry.
Our stage will be on the small side, so you may not need any pre-recorded dialogue. However if you wish to have such or music or sound effects, please provide a CD with only one track on it to be played. Also indicate on your form when the track is to start playing. Also we will not be providing any microphones for you.
