General
We at QMC want you to have a fun time with us, but remember that this is a safe place for everyone. As a result, there are some rules that you must follow.
- No running in the halls. If you must get somewhere quickly, walk with a purpose.
- No play fighting in the venue. There are other people around you who probably don't want to get hit.
- No blocking the halls. People are trying to get places and it's difficult when people crowd, not to mention it's a fire hazard.
- Listen to the staff when they tell you something. It's probably for your own safety.
- Be respectful of the people around you. They're there to have a good time just like you.

Behaviour
All attendees must conduct themselves with proper decorum.
Attendees must behave respectfully towards individuals from other groups attending other events being held at the Centre as well as convention staff and representatives of the Centre. Attendees acting disrespectfully or disruptively in convention areas or any other area of the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre may be expelled from convention premises. Especially in the free general areas of the Sports & Wellness Centre.
Any activities deemed to be nuisances to the convention or the convention premises, including excessive noise or behaviour considered generally disruptive, dangerous, or damaging will result in expulsion from the convention premises by security and may result in further civil and criminal liability.
Laser pointers, laser-aiming devices, or similar devices, may not be used in public, unless you are officially sanctioned to lead or present a convention seminar, workshop, display, or other convention-sanctioned event in which a laser is needed.

Harassment
In the interest of respecting the rights of people who want to be left alone, the following behaviours are considered unacceptable without prior consent of the recipient: hugging, glomping, back-slapping, kissing or other unwanted physical contact. This also includes unwanted advances or other similar forms of behaviour considered to be harassment. Remember: No means NO
"No" means "NO!". If someone asks you to "Go away", do so and don't return to them.
Glomping is not permitted within the convention. Glomping, while appearing fun, can actually injure someone or if they are in a costume with a prop, damage their personal belongings. Do NOT do it. If you are caught glomping, you will be given a warning.
Hugs are ok, but please ask permission of the other person before doing so.
Inappropriate touching such as groping will not be tolerated. If you experience this, please let either convention or venue staff know so that it may be dealt with.

Alcohol, Drugs, and Smoking
QMC is an alcohol, drug and smoking-free convention, and the venue is a smoke-free venue. While we do not restrict what people do outside the convention area, any person found intoxicated on the convention premises will be asked to leave the convention.
